BB # 3 Esthetic Survey Results
I asked the members of the Bean Brew No.3 cohort to chart their drinking experience, then captured their results with lots of graphs and impenetrable statistical analysis thrown in for good measure. The typography in the data table is intentionally out of alignment, replicating what I hoped seemed like a badly broken typewriter.
The tiny detail on this particular map scared away all of the silkscreen printers in San Francisco. Luckily a friend at IDEO referred me to the fantastic Rand Renfrow in Austin, who has been my silkscreen printer ever since.
I didn't realize it at the time, but this map kickstarted the Bean Brew tradition of poster design, with each new batch of beer paired with a work of fictional cartography. Each of the names contained in the Pivot Table were real world recipients of a bottle of Bean Brew No.3.
Unfortunately all of the extra copies of this map were stolen (along with Bean Brew No.4 and the National Parks of California). Boo thieves.
